The Point
The Point blogs on the GMA and Nightline features. Here's a quick excerpt:
Arguing that Christianity has become feminized, one of the speakers featured in the accompanying Good Morning America segment humorously laments that a lot of the music in contemporary Christian services these days is a little like "prom songs to God." Our own Chuck Colson has the same beef.

Hey there! I found out about you from Helen Smith's blog. Sadly, I did not find out about your event until today. As I am in Nashville, it is sad I missed it.
I think this blog is a good idea, but I am not sure you have a blog yet. My favorite blogs are more topical and less promotional. LaShawn barber has a good Christian blog, and Dr. Smith and Ann Althouse have really good blogs that are not Christian.
Check them out and maybe we can start something like that here.
God bless you, and this sure looks interesting.

I read Chuck Colson's beef about praise songs. He particularly called out a certain song, "Draw Me Close to You". Amazing how our tastes in music affect our judgement. I always thought that particular song sounded like a Psalm.

I recently read your comment on my blog regarding the "feminization of the Christian church."
Said blog was not meant to be an attack on Godmen, Promise Keepers, or any other organization for men. If they want to get together at these rallies and if they are helped by them to be better husbands, fathers, and Christians, then more power to them!
All I was (and still am!) frustrated by is the pressure by the Christian community on men to be "real men" and attend these events, even if they really have no desire to. My husband is an amazing, wonderful godly man who has struggled in his thought life, but has overcome it without the help of these organizations. To each his own - God has appointed His servants to many different posts, so that they can help the people that only they could help. That's why we're called the BODY of Christ - each of us serves a different function!
I don't ask you to make apologies for Godmen, nor am I criticizing your rallies. If I had a beef with you personally, I certainly would have, per the book of Matthew, come to you directly! I am just frustrated that, when I ask, no one can give me a definite answer as to what they mean when they say the church has "sissified" men. I want answers...concrete examples...of what that means to you or to anyone else. And that was the point of my blog!
P.S. BOTH my husband and I laughed until we hurt when we watched "A Conservative Unleashed!" Kudos to you...
